An American Quilt: Celebrating the Patterns and Threads of our Lives and our Music
We are delighted to announce the theme for our 12th season!
As we approach the semiquincentennial of our nation's founding (that's 250th birthday), we plan to explore the music that makes up the patterns and threads of our lives together.
We have plans for works by some American female composers, which bring a new voice to the canon of American music. We'll explore some Latin American music -one source of our rhythmic heritage. And our "Homegrown" new compositions will bring the season together with sounds from here in Houston.
We can't wait to share it with you!
